When X-POD approached me, it was a just budding idea and product design opening possibilities to use garden space in incredible ways. While a prototype was being developed, it was my job to seek out the potential opportunities of the materials and marketplace, bridging the gap between them through brand visuals and identity, web designs and UX, and architectural visualisation.
There are no shortage of pre-existing outdoor space solutions, but X-POD had the advantage of using Alucobond - versatile composite paneling. This made us unique within our market. X-PODs brief came with some existing properties integral to the product design. Primarily a modular design consisting of a base structure that could be modified depending on the customer's wishes. With such an emphasis on the materials and structure of the X-POD, I decided this would be an excellent starting point for the logo design.

UX & WEB DESIGN
Once a visual identity was established X-POD required a website to promote their new product and generate leads. While the marketer was able to build it, he approached me to provide UX design that incorporated functionality with our new visual identity.
While the prototype of the X-POD was being built, I received a series of blueprints and a brief to render some 3D assets to aid with development and provide some imagery for promotional material. The result was a series of textured models I could render at any angle for projection onto client supplied photography, and a video showcase to advertise the limitless possibilities of the the X-POD.
